  • Cramped but great cozy vibes of a typical Japanese Izakaya. Seems like this is an institution and even the locals love it here. The huge variety of food sends you into a head spin trying to pick what you want to eat. Prices are really reasonable too. Obviously you won’t be having the best sashimi here like the specialty sushi/sashimi restaurants but it’s still good grub.

  • We are at the upper level of the restaurant where it’s not allowed to smoke. The experience was good and felt traditional. The beer was extraordinary and all the dishes were great.

  • We came here twice for dinner around 8.30-9 pm because everywhere else was either closed or busy. There was no wait time. There are many different food options (vegetarians and gluten free included) and sushi. Quality price very good. You are sat at the counter where you can check out how the chefs cook. The fried aubergine with miso is amazing. Definitely recommend!

  • Excellent service for favorable prices. I feel so lucky we found this restaurant. It was recommended to us by some locals as a popular spot for tourists and locals alike. We had some great cocktails, delicious sushi, and loved everything they brought out to us. I only wish we had found it sooner because I’d happily go again if we had the time.

  • Nice and cozy restaurant where we could have a seat without any reservations. They have all the Japanese cuisine favourites, from sushi to grilled dishes. They have an English menu and you can pay by card. I am happy with most of the things we ordered. The sashimi tasted great, I'm not so sure if it is the freshest because I find the color of the tuna a bit on the darker side and cut too thickly. The egg omelet tasted good, but it was a little 'wet'. The octopus was quite chewy. The eel sushi was my favourite of the evening. The deep fried chicken wings I found a little on the salty side, but it went well with the insalted grilled eggplant. All in all, we had a good evening.

  • Very interesting izakaya where you watch the chefs in action while you eat. Food is decent, fresh sashimi. They charge a cover charge per person but give you an appetiser for free upon arrival. Only thing we didnt like and finish was the spanish mackerel which was quite tough. Otherwise all other items we ordered was tasty.
